I came here for a private reception upstairs. The food was fantastic, the service was amazing, and it was really pretty. Overall great experience and I'll try the regular menu and experience soon.

I walk up to a small brick building on a busy corner in Manhattan and into a packed restaurant inside and outside. The hostess takes us upstairs and the tables are maybe a foot apart. The restaurant itself feels like a boutique eatery tucked away in the Italian mountains. The lights are dimly lit with just enough light to see everyone you're dining with.We order our first round of drinks which is the Paloma but our lovely waitress suggest we try it with Casamigos and that's when I knew she would make sure we had a great night. For our starters we had the fried romato rice, meatballs and brussel sprouts. It's not an Italian dinner if you don't have meatballs! Each one of the starters was great in their own way but the one that stuck with me the most were the brussel sprouts. I typically order them wherever I go if I see them on the menu and not everyone cooks them well but these were perfect. A mix of soft, crunchy, seasoned and loaded with the freshest shaved Parmesan you'll ever experience. Since we all collectively decided on traditional italian appetizers, I decided to go with the squid ink campanelle for my entree. Pasta is one of my favorite dishes but I've never eaten a pasta like this before. Squid ink is typically salty but this dish was very well thought out with a delightful cream sauce, fresh crab and crunchy peppers. I've been dreaming about it since I got back to Florida and now I want to go back just for this bowl of heaven! This will be my first stop the next time I'm back in the city!

The food was unbelievably great! Our waiter was friendly & attentive. The location was convenient to our son's NYU apartment. It definitely had the NY bar/restaurant vibe. Indoor & outdoor seating too!

Had a luxurious, relaxing European style long lunch here on their outdoor patio. Started with the meatballs (tender, well seasoned) and Brussels sprouts (perfect amount of char, well accompanied by pepperoni). I had the pennette, made with rage bolognese and ricotta (perfect al dente, rich and decadent sauce). For drinks I had the triple threat (three tequilas, cappelletti, orange aperitivo, pineapple, and creole bitters). It came in a surprisingly fancy peacock mug filled with crushed ice. Just the right amount of bitterness and sweetness. I also had the gin and brusco (gin, lambrusco secco, cocci, rosemary, and hellfire bitters). Very moody and intense. I had the primi tini, their take on the martini. Made with olive oil-washed vodka, thyme, and a salt pinch, this was a cold, refined classic. I also had the toil and trouble (vodka, doladira rhubarb, Rubin vermouth, passion, and bubbles) to round out my meal. Service was impeccable. Everyone was so accommodating, making sure I was taken care of, my table was always cleared. My server made great recommendations and answered all my questions about the menu. Looking at their Bloody Mary, I wish I had given it a try. Made with hot peppers and soppressata! They have an extensive brunch menu. They have an even larger pasta menu available for dinner. The also have a secondi menu (sea bass, chicken piccata, hanger steak, and more). This spot doesn't seem to be overly crowded and the service is grand, so this may be one I keep in my back pocket when looking for a solid brunch option on the hipster-filled LES.

I had the most delicious meal at Primi!! The vibe was casual, hip iykyk. I was so excited to eat here because they are recognized with a Michelin Bib Gourmand! For apps, we ordered the Stuffed Meatballs in sugo and Burrata cremosa peperonata with grilled bread. You can never go wrong with some meatball apps in my opinion. These were golden brown on the outside and tender and juicy on the inside. I could've eaten this whole burrata! The inside was so soft and luxurious. For my meal, I ordered the Pennette ragu bolognese with ricotta.Oh my god you this pasta was soooo good!!! There was not one little morsel left on my plate (also because my boyfriend was stealing some as well lol!) My boyfriend ordered the Italian benedict with prosciutto on focaccia and tomato hollandaise. While I didn't try it, it looked phenomenal. He loved it!

Solid spot for a nice dinner after work. I had a reservation with a group of coworkers for Tuesday evening and were seated immediately upon arrival. The restaurant has two floors and we were lucky enough to be seated in a cozy corner upstairs. Our table split a few appetizers, including the Sicilian Tomato Rice Balls, Beets, Buratta Cremosa, and Grilled Octopus. Every dish was great, though my favorites were the rice balls and the buratta (the bread that came with it was so fluffy!!). For my main, I ordered the popular Squid Ink Campanelle, which was delicious and had a nice kick of spice, though there could have been bigger chunks of crab. Pasta texture was great and the dish wasn't too salty. I also ordered a Fellini - nothing super special but light and refreshing. The restaurant was pretty busy when we were there, but the space is large so it was pretty easy to get a reservation for our group of 7. Would recommend!
